Any ideas on what stall torque converter to run with a 632 BBC?

GM 96 020 SC1 or a GM 95 016 SC1 will do the job, both are 9" spragless. A guy on DRR has a good deal on one, close too in the DFW area. JB

Deano, Rick Huffman has one, don't know if it's sold or not, he is Rick4310 on DRR, he's in Burleson, TX. David Lanning also has a B&M that would work for you too................. JB

I talked to David Lanning today...he said they are all running FTI out of Florida now...haven't heard of them before. I called on the other Hughes converter and its sold...and he said he sold it because he liked the hughes GM96 07SC alot better, on his 622 and 582...That guy suggested a the GM96 07SC. so thats kinda what I'm leaning toward. My 632 was running 1.072 60ft times and carrying the front tires about 4 inches high for about 10ft. I'm going to call Hughes in the morning. David says his 5500 stall NOS converter runs 2 tenths slower in the 1/4 and 4 hundreds faster in the 60ft..kinda seems backasswards...he also said the MPH is 6 to 7 mph faster with the 6700 stall converter than the 5500 converter.

Keep in mind that we only run sea level maybe twice a year, at our summer DA I don't think that 07 convertor would be happy, unless you have a BADASS 632 w/ spread port etc. I sent my 016 back to Hughes and they made it an SC -1 which loosened it about 300 rpm. Made all the difference in the world. Be sure and tell Hughes about the conditions we race in, talk to Kevin Kleinweber if he's there....... JB
